VIRTUAL MATCHMAKING & NETWORKING OPTIONS

The AFCEA NOVA Small Business Enterprise IT Days (Virtual Event) has integrated multiple opportunities into this year’s virtual event to collaborate and connect with sponsors and fellow attendees as well as government agency representatives and key prime contractors.

You MUST be registered for the event to participate in all networking activities.

Sponsored Meeting Rooms

The sponsors of this event will have open time slots where you can meet with them "face-to-face" and have an open discussion. Attendees can join these open conversations throughout the conference. Check the Sponsor Profile for Meet Now times. As this year’s event is virtual, this meeting option is equivalent to walking up to a booth at an in-person conference, so there may be other conference attendees in the meeting room with you. You can come and go as you please.

Access to sponsored meeting rooms will be through our VIRTUAL EXPO, by clicking on a sponsor logo to visit their "Virtual Booth" and clicking the "Meet Now" button to join (check the sponsor’s schedule for when they’ll be hosting a meeting time).

Open Networking

There will be dedicated time slots during the virtual conference for open networking. Open networking will consist of rooms of 10-15 attendees and you can come and go as you please. View the event Agenda for networking break time slots.

Networking events will use the Zoom Meetings platform.

Matchmaking Sessions

Open to all attendees wishing to virtually meet one-on-one with government agency representatives or large prime contractors. Matchmaking meetings will be pre-scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Each matchmaking session will be 12 minutes long, so be sure to make the most of it! Check back periodically as new matchmaking sessions become available.

Sign up to participate in matchmaking on STEP 3 of the registration page. If you are already registered for Small Business IT Days, click here to modify your registration. If you are only planning on attending matchmaking, contact info@afceanova.org for a link to register.

Matchmaking will use the Zoom Meetings platform.

1:1 Meetings

If you would like to meet privately with another attendee, navigate to the Registrant Directory and request a virtual meeting with other attendees. You can add up to 4 attendees per meeting. Once you submit the meeting request, it will be emailed to all request recipients and they can accept or decline the meeting. You can view your schedule on the My Schedule page.

A virtual meeting room will be automatically assigned when the meeting is created. You must log-in to the event website to join your meeting. Meeting links can not be shared (they will not work unless you have been invited to/accepted the meeting request). If you need to add attendees to a meeting that is already scheduled, please email info@afceanova.org.
