What is AFCEA NOVA’s mission?

AFCEA NOVA is a member-based, non-profit organization. Our mission is to bring together top civil service government, military, industry, and academia experts to collaborate on the latest trends and challenges shaping defense, technology, innovations, and more.

With nearly 8,000 members, the AFCEA NOVA Chapter is the largest of AFCEA International’s 140+ chapters globally. Beyond our 8,000 government and industry members, sponsors gain visibility and access to more than 7,500 Corporate Member Organizations, 18,000 marketing contacts, and 7,000 social media followers.

Why should my company sponsor AFCEA NOVA events and programs?

AFCEA NOVA appreciates every one of our nearly 100 sponsors who commit to supporting our chapter in various ways each year. Corporate sponsorship enables the AFCEA NOVA Chapter to host more than 25 phenomenal events and programs annually from our signature events such as our IT Days, Luncheon Program Series, and our Annual Golf Tournament to our targeted events hosted by our various committees: Emerging Leaders, Small Business, Mentoring, Education, and Membership.

Where does my company’s sponsorship money go?

The AFCEA NOVA Education Foundation is dedicated to promoting the critical role science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education plays in shaping the future. It fosters excellence in education through educational incentives, opportunities, and assistance for teachers and students engaged in STEM-related course work and extra-curricular activities.

Proceeds from AFCEA NOVA Chapter events support STEM programs and educational grants, making a direct impact on local elementary, middle, and high school students, as well as university programs across Northern Virginia. Each and every sponsorship helps foster the next generation of tech and defense leaders.

Last year, the AFCEA NOVA Chapter awarded more than $200,000 scholarships, grants and awards to high school and university students and organizations focused in in STEM-related fields. Overall, AFCEA has awarded more than $1,000,000 in scholarship and grant funding since its inception.
