Chief Master Sergeant John L. Bolton Jr is the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Deputy Chief of Space Operations for Cyber and Data, Headquarters United States Space Force. In this role, he assists Space Force senior leaders with unlocking and harnessing innovation to increase speed and improve effectiveness of the Space Force’s mission and vision for a digital service. Additionally, he supports four Directorates encompassing Workforce; Cyberspace Operations & Transport; Governance & Cybersecurity; and Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Software Innovation.

Chief Master Sergeant Bolton was born in Landstuhl, Germany. After spending his childhood as a military family member and graduating from Waynesville High School in Missouri, he joined the United States Air Force in January 2003. His background includes a variety of positions with significant experience in defensive cyber operations, enterprise network administration, command and control systems administration, network migration, project management, and organizational leadership. Chief Master Sergeant Bolton has deployed in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM, NOBLE EAGLE, & UNIFIED RESPONSE. Prior to his current assignment, he served as the Chief Enlisted Leader, 661st Cyber Operations Squadron, Delta 26, National Reconnaissance Office, Fort Belvoir, VA.
