Kristofer Parker is a King George native and resides in the county with his wife. He serves as the Deputy for Small Business (DSB) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), where he has been in the Federal Government acquisition field for almost twenty years. As of 01 August 2021, Kris is serving a rotation at the Navy Office of Small Business Programs. Prior to his tenure at NSWCDD, Kris was an Online Account Services Project Manager at Capital One in Richmond, VA, and served as the Year 2000 Project Manager for MediCorp Health System in Fredericksburg, VA.

While serving as Deputy for Small Business, NSWCDD has received four of the five awards for statutory Small Business Achievement from Navy Office of Small Business Programs. In addition, Kris’ efforts helped Dahlgren win the first ever Sarkis Tatigian Small Business Award for Acquisition Excellence. Aside from organizational awards, Kris has received numerous personal awards, including the 2020 AFCEA Small Business Person of the Year, Government, Award, the Walter T. Lewis Acquisition Award, the NSWC Award of Merit for Group Achievement, and several recognitions for outstanding performance.

Kris holds a DAWIA Level III Certification in Government Contracting, earned an MBA from Mary Washington College, is a Certified Planning Commissioner for the State of VA, and is a licensed auctioneer.

Aside from his position as DSB, he is the Chairperson of the King George County Planning Commission, Financial Chair for the Lewis Egerton Smoot Memorial Library, and serves on the Board of the King George YMCA.
