Jolisa Dudley currently serves as the Director, Customer Experience (CX) Strategy Office of Resolution Management, Diversity & Inclusion (ORMDI), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this capacity, Ms. Dudley is responsible for leading, building and driving ORMDI initiatives which facilitate the creation and delivery of exceptional customer and employee experiences VA wide. Prior to this assignment Ms. Dudley served in a variety of high-visibility senior leadership positions within the Department, to include Executive Assistant to the Deputy Assistant Secretary (DAS) for the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM), VA, where she was responsible for representing the DAS in a wide range of matters, including implementation of policies, practices, or other operational and management activities.

Ms. Dudley is a decorated Veteran and retired Lieutenant Colonel, United States Air Force (USAF). She has over 20 years of executive, analytical and leadership expertise in strategic human resources management and services, with demonstrated success in the areas of command and control, communications, information management, personnel, training, protocol, and military equal opportunity. She has held a variety of key leadership positions, including Executive Officer, Squadron Section Commander, Chief, Military Personnel, and Chief Air Force Military Equal Opportunity. As a former Commander, Military Training, Ms. Dudley was responsible for the health, morale, welfare, and military training of 500-plus non-prior service airmen. Additionally, Ms. Dudley has 8 years experience working for the Department of Defense (DoD), Headquarters (HQ), USAF, and Defense Agency staffs, emphasizing leadership skills, long-range planning, and organizational management. A former Director, Ceremonies and Protocol, she is also a recognized Air Force ceremonies expert, having served as the office of primary responsible for White House, State Department, DoD, HQ USAF ceremonies involving the Vice President, Secretaries of State and Defense, foreign Heads of State, senior DoD, and USAF leaders.

In 2004, Ms. Dudley was handpicked by the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs as the Air Force representative for the high-profile Joint Task Force, congressionally mandated to develop comprehensive sexual assault prevention and response policy for DoD. As the Operations Officer, she was directly responsible for authoring the first-ever DoD Directive and Instruction on Sexual Assault Prevention and Response. She also authored and gained the Secretary of Defense’s approval for the historic and nationally acclaimed policy to allow confidential reporting of sexual assault within the military.

Ms. Dudley is committed to life-long learning. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Alabama State University, Montgomery, Alabama and her Master of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Troy State University, Montgomery, Alabama. In 2021, she completed her Post Baccalaureate Degree in Health and Wellness Coaching from Maryland University of Integrative Health. She has also completed numerous professional military education and executive leadership courses, to include Squadron Officers School, Air Command and Staff College, as well as the Executive Leadership Program, and the Senior Executive Assessment Program.

Additionally, Ms. Dudley is a CDC Certified Divorce Coach ®, and the owner of Beauty in the Midst, LLC, a woman and Veteran-owned small business coaching, consulting company. Beauty in the Midst DBA Divorce Coach Confidante is rooted in healing presence and providing holistic, genuine, dynamic and compassionate coaching which helps individuals move forward with grace and authenticity.
