Michelle Stele is a Senior Manager in Deloitte & Touche LLP in their Cyber & Strategic Risk practice. Ms. Stele brings over 20 years’ experience in delivering and leading multiple, profitable, large-scale, high-impact Department of Defense programs in the software development, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity functional domains.

Ms. Stele is currently leading a team implementing DevSecOps and lean-agile practices to rapidly deliver incremental new functionality for the US Space Force Defensive Cyber Operations for Space (DCO-S) program under SMC’s Cross Mission Ground and Communications Enterprise. Her team focuses on delivering DCO Protect capabilities to enable delivery of critical infrastructure services and support the ability to limit or contain the impact of a potential cybersecurity event.

Prior to her current engagement, Ms. Stele led a team of 40+ providing engineering, technical, and training support to Defense Cyberspace Operations (DCO) activities for space mission systems within Air Force Space Command, now the US Space Force. Before coming to Deloitte, Ms. Stele led a large-scale infrastructure engineering and cyber defense contract that provided services to engineer (develop, configure, test, document), implement, IT and Cyber Defense capability in support of DFAS operations. She managed all aspects of Cyber Security Service Provider (CSSP) team, responsible for protecting the largest accounting organization in the world. Ms. Stele also established a 24/7 Cyber Incident Response Team (CIRT) responsible for detecting and responding to cyber attack.
