Ms. Kameke Mitchell is a passionate contract management leader. She currently serves as the Chief of Contracts for the Space Systems Command, Commercial Space Office. The office is the focal point for the procurement and integration of commercial space capabilities for the United States Space Force and Combatant Commands. She brings demonstrated experience of cultivating growth and innovation throughout the acquisition life cycle. Ms. Mitchell has led teams responsible for acquisitions with portfolios valued at over $160B. Over the past 15 years, Ms. Mitchell held contracting positions in support of major weapon systems, combat information systems, networks, and operational IT business systems. In addition, Ms. Mitchell worked passionately on acquisition policy reform, specifically with initiatives that focused on Competition in the Defense Industrial Base as well as leading the 2022 rewrite of the DoD Source Selection Procedures, while serving as a policy analyst at the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, Defense Pricing and Contracting. Ms. Mitchell is a NCMA Fellow and has been published in the Contract Management Magazine. She remains a dedicated champion of the contract management profession and the development of others. Ms. Mitchell is a recognized community leader with the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) and AFCEA International as she serves with intention and purpose.
