Colonel Theodore Hanger currently leads the Strategic Engagements Division (J55) at United States Space Command. He received his commission as an Infantry Officer from the United States Army Officer Candidate School in 1999. He is a graduate of the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Human Resource Management Qualification Course, Command and General Staff College, and the United States Army War College.

His command assignments include:
B Troop, 1st Squadron, 134th Cavalry, Nebraska Army National Guard (NEARNG).
195th Forward Support Company (Special Operations)
(Airborne), NEARNG.
2nd Battalion, 134th Infantry (Airborne), NEARNG.

Non-command assignments include:
Infantry Platoon Leader, Rifle Company Executive Officer, 1-41 Infantry, 1st Armored Division. Colonel Hanger holds master’s degrees in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College and in Human Resources Management from Webster University.

Colonel Hanger and his wife Billee are the proud parents of three children; Chase, Hannah, and Koen.
