John (Johnny) McCormick serves as the Acquisition Management and Support Division Chief for the Hosting and Compute Center (HaCC) at Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). In this role, Mr. McCormick is responsible for providing acquisition support for IT Services and Capacity Hardware contracts to support DISA Data Centers and Cloud/Hybrid Clouds Solutions.
Prior to this role, Mr. McCormick served for 12 years in various acquisition positions across DISA and the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) including Management and Operations Services Support Branch Chief, Supervisory IT Business Program Support Analyst, and Acquisition Team Chief. Mr. McCormick transitioned to DISA from the Navy where he served as a submarine nuclear operator and instructor before being commissioned as a Supply Officer and serving as Logistician, Comptroller, and Contracting Officer.
Mr. McCormick completed the Navy Acquisition Contracting Officer (NACO) internship simultaneously with a master's in management, Acquisition Contract Management from Florida Institute of Technology and a Business Resources Management Program Certificate from Darden School of Business, University of Virginia.
