About This Event
Join the AFCEA Small Business Committee on May 14th for our next Small Business Breakfast event where Capt Uzarski, Director, NavalX, and Mr. Brian Shipley, Director, Small Business Innovation Research/Small Business Technology Transfer (SBIR/STTR) Program, will discuss the Department of the Navy’s innovation ecosystem and SBIR/STTR/STP lifecycle. Capt Uzarski will focus on current priorities inside NavalX including the Tech Bridge Network, projects for Navy customers (PEO and fleet), Tech Scans, and Prize Challenges. Mr. Brian Shipley will highlight the SBIR/STTR life cycle, diving into differences across Phase II and Phase III awards as well as the SBIR/STTR Transition Program (STP).
We’ll dig deeper into various resources available to small businesses at different stages of the process. The event will include an open forum for attendees to ask questions to better understand how to identify relevant opportunities and how best to engage with the Department of the Navy to support their innovation capabilities.
