Mrs. Alyse C. Bullock brings over 33 years of multifaceted experience in Business & Financial Management, Contracting, and Small Business to her role as Deputy Director at the Secretary of the Navy’s Office of Small Business Programs. Appointed in February 2024, Mrs. Bullock oversees the Department of the Navy’s (DON) small business acquisition policy and strategic initiatives.
In her previous role within the Office of Small Business Programs, Mrs. Bullock played a crucial role in analyzing key factors influencing the DON's small business sector. Her responsibilities included evaluating the potential impacts of policy changes on socio-economic goals and establishing targeted objectives for the Navy's small business engagement.
Before assuming her position with the Office of Small Business Programs, Mrs. Bullock served with distinction as a Senior Contract Specialist at the Office of Naval Research. There, she managed contracts for innovative research and development projects, including overseeing Broad Agency Announcements for Long Range Science and Technology Projects, Small Business Innovative Research, and Small Business Technology Transfers programs.
Mrs. Bullock's career with the DON began at the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). Starting as a clerk-typist, she advanced to become a budget analyst and eventually a contract specialist.
