Mr. Jeffrey A. Baur is the Logistics (LOG) IT Services Product Director in the Department of the Navy’s (DON) Program Executive Office for Manpower, Logistics and Business Solutions (PEO MLB). He is responsible for ensuring that LOG IT products meet end-user and stakeholder requirements and are delivered as part of a cohesive ecosystem of capabilities to support operational readiness.
Mr. Baur leads, or is a member of, a number of Navy-wide governance and cross-functional boards for technology, business process re-engineering and innovation sustainment. He is responsible for all LOG IT systems used for platform sustainment and reporting equipment material readiness to Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) leadership.
Previoiusly, Mr. Baur was the Director of Maintenance Systems (N434) at U.S. Fleet Forces (USFF) Command, Fleet Maintenance Division, he was also the Fleet Maintenance Systems Functional Manager at USFF. Prior to that he served as the Submarine Maintenance Planning and Procurement
(SUBMEPP) Representative to USFF, responsible for maintenance policy and Commander, Submarine Force Atlantic (COMSUBLANT) as the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) Manager and Maintenance Programs representative in the Northeast Region.
Mr. Baur retired from the U.S. Navy in 2003 as a Senior Chief Petty Officer after 21 years of service. Afloat, he served aboard the USS SAM HOUSTON (SSN 609), USS LAFAYETTE (SSBN 616), USS TREPANG (SSN 674) and USS PHILADELPHIA (SSN 690). Ashore, he served at Submarine Base
(SUBASE Pearl) Harbor in the Heavyweight Torpedo Intermediate Maintenance Activity as the Advanced Capability (ADCAP) MK48 Torpedo Production Supervisor. He served two tours at Commander, Submarine Force Pacific Fleet, first at N7 as the Force Torpedoman and Tactical Readiness Evaluation (TRE) Team and Mining Certification Inspector and then at N4 as the Force 3-M Coordinator, Calibration Manager and TRE Team evaluating weapons employment and ship control.
