Lance Marrano is the ERDC Science and Technology advisor to the Tyndall Reconstruction office; the Air Force's designated Installation of the Future (IotF) testbed. For the past four years he has been involved standing up the Army's IotF program and this assignment will support increased collaboration between the Services to capture lessons learned from each other's efforts. Prior to this position, Lance served as the Director of the Sustainment Management System Center of Expertise, a software solution that helps agencies assess, identify, and forecast investment requirements to efficiently and effectively prioritize their facility capital assets. Under his leadership, the software grew from a fledgling research product to DoD- and now Federal-wide adoption with over 1.4B SF of facilities under management. Mr. Marrano has over 20 years of researching, developing, and transitioning facility asset management technology solutions from the research lab to communities of practice and his new assignment promises to be the most impactful yet as the Department of Defense Installation community modernizes from an Industrial Age posture to the Installation Age, with Tyndall's reconstruction the most ambitious program yet.
